Sindh Implements Key Administrative Restrictions to Ensure Effective E-Challan System in Food Authority

**Islamabad:** The Sindh government has introduced significant administrative measures to ensure the transparent and effective implementation of the e-challan system in the Sindh Food Authority.

According to the Sindh Minister for Food, temporary restrictions will remain in place until **March 13, 2026**, aimed at streamlining operations through the digital e-challan process. During this period, transfers, postings, and deputation extensions within the Food Authority will be completely restricted to maintain administrative stability and transparency.

Provincial Minister Makhdoom Mehbub-uz-Zaman stated that reform initiatives for the implementation of the new digital system are ongoing. A newly formed governing body will monitor this reform process to ensure accountability and efficiency across the organization.

Director General of the Sindh Food Authority, Shehzad Fazal Abbasi, issued a notification instructing all staff to perform their duties strictly according to the prescribed rules to facilitate the effective rollout of the e-challan system.

The Food Minister emphasized that the system aims to ensure transparent and efficient operations, guaranteeing uninterrupted provision of quality food to the public and strengthening accountability at every level. Officials said the move is crucial for enhancing food quality monitoring in Sindh and maintaining public trust.
