Hollywood Actor Robert Reiner and Wife Found Murdered; Son Arrested
*Islamabad (Daily Qudrat)* Hollywood actor and director Robert Reiner, 78, and his wife Michelle Singer Reiner, 68, were found dead at their Los Angeles home two days ago. According to international news agencies, both bodies bore multiple deep stab wounds, which led to their deaths.
Initially, authorities speculated that the couple might have been killed during a burglary. However, in a significant development, police have arrested their 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, who is currently being interrogated. No formal charges have yet been filed. Police confirmed that investigations into the gruesome murders are ongoing and additional details will be revealed in due course. No other suspects have been taken into custody so far.
Nick Reiner, also a filmmaker and photographer, is one of the couple’s three children. He has struggled with substance abuse and homelessness for several years, and in 2015, he made a film titled *Being Charlie* based on his personal struggles with addiction.
The Reiner family described the incident as an unimaginable loss and requested privacy and respect from the public. Robert Reiner was not only a successful director, producer, and actor but also actively involved in cultural and social initiatives.
