Molana Sherani Warns of Collapse of Constitution and Parliament, Urges Powerful Circles to Avoid Becoming Caretakers of a ‘Tomb

*Karachi/Quetta (Daily Qudrat)* Molana Muhammad Khan Sherani, leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, expressed deep concern over Pakistan’s current situation, stating that neither the constitution, parliament, judiciary, nor the dignity of politicians is secure. He spoke at a training session organized by JUI Pakistan Sindh at Masjid Usman bin Affan in Karachi.
Molana Sherani emphasized that Pakistan is not an entirely independent and sovereign nation; according to United Nations agreements, it functions as a trustee of certain territories. He asserted that real power in the country lies with the establishment, stating, “The establishment is not for Pakistan; Pakistan is for the establishment.”
However, he cautioned that the people and the establishment are part of the same household, and internal conflict will not lead to freedom but rather tighten the chains of Western subjugation. He stressed the importance of understanding facts over making emotional decisions.
Molana Sherani warned that when politics, the constitution, and the judiciary are suspended, the country ceases to exist as a nation and instead becomes a “tomb.” Addressing the powerful circles of the country, he urged them to lead living people rather than serve as caretakers of a tomb. He added that living individuals sacrifice their lives for principles, while fear and greed are tools of evil, and decisions must be guided by reason and logic.
The session also featured speeches by Molana Gul Naseeb Khan, Molana Shuja-ul-Mulk, and other leaders.
