PM Shehbaz Sharif Departs for Turkmenistan to Attend International Forum on Peace and Trust

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday departed for Turkmenistan on a two-day official visit. He will attend the International Forum on Peace and Trust being held in Ashgabat on December 11–12.

During the visit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to hold a meeting with Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. He is also expected to meet leaders from several other participating countries.

Discussions will focus on bilateral cooperation, regional stability, economic partnership, and progress on major energy initiatives — particularly the TAPI gas pipeline project.

The Prime Minister is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Atta Tarar, and other senior officials. The global peace forum will also be attended by leaders from Russia, Iran, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and other nations.
