Major Break in Abbottabad Case: Lady Doctor Warda Mushtaq Abducted and Murdered

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) — Significant progress has been reported in the abduction and murder case of Lady Doctor Warda Mushtaq from DHQ Hospital Abbottabad.

According to the post-mortem report, Dr. Warda Mushtaq’s neck was broken, and she died due to strangulation and suffocation. Signs of physical assault on her body indicate that she was brutally beaten before being killed.

Abbottabad DPO Haroon Rashid stated in a press conference that the deceased had deposited 67 tolas of gold with her friend Rida two years ago. She was ruthlessly murdered after demanding the return of her gold. Dr. Warda was killed on the same day she was abducted.

Police have also arrested the husband of the accused, Wahid, owner of Balle Di Hatti, and have included charges under the Anti-Terrorism Act. The suspects were presented in an anti-terrorism court, which granted a three-day physical remand.

The negligent SHO Cantt has been suspended. Doctors at DHQ Hospital Abbottabad continue their strike; however, after negotiations with the DPO and Deputy Commissioner, emergency services at the hospital have been restored, though the strike by doctors is ongoing.
