Balochistan CM Sarfraz Bugti Meets Mines Owners’ Association Delegation, Vows Reforms and Investor-Friendly Environment

Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti met with a representative delegation of the Mines Owners Association, where the delegation expressed gratitude to the provincial government for granting industry status to the mining sector.

During the meeting, discussions were held on the establishment of a **Chamber of Mines**, land allocation, and other related matters. The delegation also thanked the government for reforms in the sector and for setting up rescue centers for workers in **Chamalang and Duki**.

Chief Minister Bugti said that granting industry status to the mining sector will ensure better protection and a sense of security for workers. He assured that the provincial government is committed to providing a conducive environment for investors and workers in the mining industry.

He emphasized that the **Mines and Minerals sector plays a fundamental role in the province’s development**, and introducing transparency and modern systems in the sector remains a top priority of the government.

The chief minister added that further measures will be taken for the welfare of workers and for improving working conditions. He also stated that the province’s mineral resources are being opened to national and international investment, while a comprehensive strategy is being developed to safeguard minerals and curb illegal mining.

The meeting was attended by Provincial Minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani, MPA Prince Agha Umar Ahmadzai, Additional Chief Secretary Home, Secretary and DG Mines, and other senior officials.
