Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar Says He Has “No Issue, Only Intense Dislike” for Naumaan Ijaz
Karachi: Renowned Pakistani writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has said that he has “no issue” with veteran actor Naumaan Ijaz but holds a deep and lasting dislike for him.
Speaking during a TV program, Qamar openly stated that his differences with several industry artists are well known. However, regarding Naumaan Ijaz, he clarified that the matter is not just about a disagreement or temporary conflict — rather, it is a *clear and strong aversion* that he neither hides nor intends to change.
During the conversation, Qamar also addressed his long-standing dispute with actress Mahira Khan. He said Mahira is a talented artist, and his relationship with her had always been based on respect and friendship. However, he cannot forgive the words she used against him in the past.
Qamar added that while he hopes he may be able to forgive those remarks someday, at present they remain unacceptable to him.
It is worth noting that tensions between Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar and Mahira Khan escalated in 2020, when Mahira criticized Qamar on Twitter over his harsh remarks directed at activist Marvi Sirmed and questioned why he continued to receive projects despite his derogatory comments about women.
