Ignoring Persons with Disabilities Is a National Loss, Says Mir Rahmat Saleh Baloch

*Quetta (Daily Qudrat)* — National Party central leader and Deputy Parliamentary Leader in the Balochistan Assembly, Mir Rahmat Saleh Baloch, has said that persons with disabilities are an honorable and active part of society, and ignoring them amounts to a national loss. He emphasized that the identity of any civilized society is reflected in the way it treats its weaker segments, adding that safeguarding the rights of persons with disabilities is a primary responsibility of both state and social institutions.
He noted that in an underdeveloped province like Balochistan, persons with disabilities remain deprived of basic facilities, including education, healthcare, employment opportunities, and accessible transport. He urged the government to strictly implement the quota reserved for persons with disabilities in education and employment, and to establish special schools, welfare centers, and rehabilitation programs for them.
Mir Rahmat Saleh Baloch stated that the National Party, being a national and welfare-oriented political organization, considers the well-being of persons with disabilities an essential part of its struggle and will continue raising its voice for their rights at every platform.
He demanded that the government increase the budget allocated for persons with disabilities and take immediate and effective measures to empower them socially and economically.
