Senator Faisal Vawda Warns of Governor’s Rule If PTI Provokes, Political Meetings with Imran Khan Halted

Rawalpindi: Senator Faisal Vawda has warned that if Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) takes certain political steps, the government is fully prepared to enforce Governor’s Rule.
Speaking on Geo News’ program *Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Saath*, Vawda stated that attempts to incite unrest will not be tolerated, and if Governor’s Rule is imposed, it will not be temporary—it will remain in place as long as necessary.
He also announced that political meetings with PTI founder Imran Khan will no longer take place, emphasizing that even representatives of large constituencies cannot mobilize significant support.
Vawda further criticized PTI leadership, claiming that after the death of a senior officer in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, instead of consoling the family, PTI officials sought meetings with U.S. authorities—actions he described as contradictory to Imran Khan’s anti-foreign intervention stance.
