England’s Moeen Ali Quits IPL to Join Pakistan Super League Following Faf du Plessis

**Islamabad:** In a major development for the Pakistan Super League (PSL), former England cricketer Moeen Ali has decided to leave the Indian Premier League (IPL) to participate in the PSL, following South African ex-captain Faf du Plessis.
Moeen Ali shared his decision on Instagram, calling it “a time for new beginnings.” He expressed excitement about joining the HBL PSL’s new season, praising the league for its high standards and world-class talent, which make it a prominent platform in T20 cricket.
The English all-rounder added that playing in Pakistan has always been a great experience, highlighting the high-quality cricket and the extraordinary enthusiasm of the fans that motivates players to perform at their best.
“I am looking forward to creating the best memories and preparing for a new and special experience, InshaAllah,” Moeen Ali said.
Earlier, Faf du Plessis had announced via social media that he would skip the IPL and take on a new challenge by playing in the Pakistan Super League.
