How Two Young Men Saved Hareem Farooq During Her Childhood Adventure: Actress Shares Story

Karachi — Popular actress **Hareem Farooq** recently recounted a surprising childhood incident during a comedy show, where she ran away from home in anger at the age of eight.
Hareem explained that she wanted to visit her aunt’s house, but when the driver refused to take her, she left home on her own. Along the way, an elderly man stopped her and asked where she was going. Innocently, she replied she was going to her aunt’s and exaggerated her age, claiming she was in matriculation.
As she neared her destination, **two young men noticed her** and asked if her parents knew where she was. When she said no, they immediately escorted her back home. Meanwhile, her worried parents had already reached the police station to report her as missing.
Upon returning home, Hareem said her grandfather **scolded her and even gave her a slap**, warning her never to leave home without informing anyone. She noted that the incident remains fresh in her memory and marked the day she decided never to repeat such a stunt.
In a lighter revelation during the show, Hareem also shared that her childhood nickname at school was **“Lala”**, as she was the only girl in a group of boys and was respected with that name.
