K-Electric Cracks Down on Illegal Underground Network in Karachi

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) — Karachi’s electricity company, K-Electric, conducted a major operation in the Jalalaabad area of Nazimabad, uncovering an illegal underground electricity network.

According to a K-Electric spokesperson, over three thousand kilograms of underground cables used for electricity theft were seized during the operation.

The spokesperson added that the illegal network was causing an annual loss of approximately 200,000 units of electricity, and outstanding payments had exceeded two billion rupees. The action was carried out with the support of law enforcement agencies.
