PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Says Negotiations Made No Progress

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar stated that despite extensive efforts, negotiations have not yielded any results.

Speaking to Geo News, he said that PTI founder Imran Khan had authorized Mahmood Achakzai and Allama Nasir to conduct the negotiations. “If they seek my advice regarding the talks, I will certainly provide it,” he added.

Barrister Gohar emphasized that PTI maintains an alliance with Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Allama Raja Nasir, and the struggle will continue through the Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Pakistan movement.

Regarding political outreach, he said that Maulana Zirak is a shrewd politician, and while efforts were made to include him, he has not joined them yet. “He is in the opposition, and we will continue trying to bring him on board,” Gohar noted.

The PTI chairman also reiterated the party’s opposition to the 26th and 27th constitutional amendments and stressed the need for an independent judiciary. He highlighted delays in the judicial process, stating that Imran Khan’s last convention was on January 16, and according to judicial policy, a decision should have been made within 35 days. “It has been over 10 months, yet no progress has been made in his case,” he added.
