Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan Rejects “Divide and Rule” Policy, Demands Rights and Development for Province

Quetta (Qudrat Daily) — **Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch**, MPA and Amir of **Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan**, has strongly condemned the policy of pushing the people of Balochistan into hardship and conflict to maintain control, stating that such a strategy will **never be accepted**.
Speaking during meetings with delegations in Quetta, he said that Balochistan, despite being rich in resources, suffers from **plundering, indifference, and neglect** by powerful forces in Islamabad, leaving its people deprived of peace and employment. He added that if the provincial civil government were honest, many of the region’s problems would have been resolved. Instead, he said, **power, coercion, and hatred dominate governance**.
Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman emphasized that **Jamaat-e-Islami will continue to highlight and fight for the rights of the people of Balochistan** through all available platforms, including protests, sit-ins, and raising voices in the assembly. The party has organized **seminars, jirgas, and public forums from Quetta to Islamabad under the banner of “Rights of Balochistan”** to draw attention to pressing issues.
He further stated that the benefits of **CPEC projects, including Reko Diq, must reach the local population**. If provincial resources were spent on addressing local problems, he said, conditions in Balochistan would have drastically improved. Jamaat-e-Islami’s key demands include:
* Allocation of **resources for local development**
* Ending **poverty and unemployment**
* Reopening **borders** and recovering **missing persons**
* Eliminating **electricity and gas load-shedding**
* Addressing **road blockages** and taking **practical steps to resolve public issues**
Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman called on all political forces, scholars, and youth to take **practical action** to resolve Balochistan’s collective problems.
