Punjab Launches Birth, Death, Marriage, and Divorce Registration via Pak ID Mobile App

Lahore: Residents of three districts in Punjab can now register births, marriages, divorces, and deaths through the Pak ID mobile application.

According to Geo News, the e-registration agreement between the Punjab Local Government Department and NADRA has been finalized and signed by the Secretary of Local Government and the DG NADRA Punjab.

Under this agreement, registrations for vital events—including births, marriages, divorces, and deaths—will now be accessible through the Pak ID mobile app.

Secretary Local Government, Shakeel Ahmed, stated that the pilot project has been launched in three districts: Jhelum, Chakwal, and Nankana. He added that the system will eventually be expanded to cover all union councils across Punjab.

DG NADRA Punjab, Fizza Shahid, said citizens of Punjab will now be able to register vital events from the convenience of their homes using the mobile application.
