Karachi: Mob Attacks Police with Sticks and Gunfire During Operation in Sohrab Goth, Jamali Goth

In Karachi’s Sohrab Goth and Jamali Goth areas, a violent mob attacked police personnel with sticks and opened fire during an operation, according to sources.

The attackers damaged a police mobile during the assault, though all police officers remained unharmed.

Police from the Sohrab Goth station were conducting an operation in Jamali Goth against illegally residing Afghan nationals. Several individuals living without legal documentation were taken into custody during the operation.

However, the mob launched an attack, overpowering the police and forcibly freeing the detained Afghan nationals from custody. Authorities are investigating the incident and searching for the suspects involved.
