Eight India-Backed Terrorists Killed in Joint Security Operation in Bannu

Bannu – Security forces and law enforcement agencies conducted a **joint intelligence-based operation (IBO)** in the Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing **eight terrorists** linked to an India-backed militant network.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched after credible information was received about the presence of *Khawarij* militants in the region. During the strike, security forces effectively targeted the terrorist hideout, resulting in the elimination of **eight members of the India-supported faction of Khawarij**.

ISPR reported that weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the slain militants, who were involved in multiple terrorist attacks against security forces, law enforcement agencies, and the targeted killing of innocent civilians.

The military’s media wing noted that the successful operation reflects the **strong coordination** between security forces and law enforcement agencies. Their enhanced cooperation has led to a noticeable increase in intelligence-driven operations in the region.

To restrict the movement of militant elements, **structured and synchronized security measures** have been implemented. Clearance operations are ongoing to neutralize any remaining threats as part of the nationwide counterterrorism campaign under the **“Azm-e-Istehkam”** vision, aimed at eliminating terrorism from Pakistan.
