Pakistan Stock Exchange Surges as Rupee Strengthens Against Dollar

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) opened with a strong upward trend, while the Pakistani rupee gained further strength against the US dollar.
On the fourth day of the trading week, the benchmark KSE-100 Index jumped by 645 points at the start of trading, reaching 162,871 points. The previous day had already seen a positive momentum, with the index crossing the 162,000-point mark.
Meanwhile, the US dollar continued its decline in the interbank market. According to the Exchange Companies Association, the dollar dropped by six paisas, trading at Rs. 280.60 against the Pakistani rupee.
