Raja Faisal Rathore Sworn in as Newly Elected Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir

Muzaffarabad: Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore has taken the oath as the new Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir. The oath-taking ceremony was administered by Azad Kashmir Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Latif Akbar.

The event was attended by prominent dignitaries including Governor Gilgit-Baltistan Mehdi Shah, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Faryal Talpur, members of the assembly, senior civil leadership, and military officials.

Addressing the ceremony, Prime Minister Faisal Rathore expressed gratitude to Asif Ali Zardari, Faryal Talpur, and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for entrusting him with this responsibility. He also paid tribute to the Pakistan Army for its sacrifices in defending the nation and acknowledged the PPP’s renewed commitment to reconnect with the public.

Raja Faisal Rathore becomes the 16th Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, following the successful no-confidence motion against Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq, which passed with 36 votes in favor and two against.
