Further Suggestions on 27th Constitutional Amendment Under Consideration, Senate to Reapprove if Changes Made: Law Minister

ISLAMABAD: **Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar** has said that discussions are ongoing on a few good proposals regarding the **27th Constitutional Amendment**.

Speaking to the media after meeting **Bilawal Bhutto**, Tarar stated that **voting on the 27th Amendment will take place today**, while additional suggestions related to the amendment are still under consideration. He clarified that if any changes are made to the version already approved by the Senate, those changes will require **Senate approval** again.

The Law Minister emphasized that any **ambiguities in the National Assembly** will be addressed through discussion, stating, *“If there is any uncertainty regarding the amendment, it is appropriate to debate it.”*

He also highlighted the constitutional provisions, saying, *“Under Article 239, the power to make the Constitution rests with the Parliament. The Constitutional Court does not have the authority to rewrite the Constitution.”*

It is noted that the **27th Amendment, approved by the Senate yesterday, has now been presented in the National Assembly**, where approval is expected today.
