Islamabad Court Suicide Bomber Identified as Bajaur Resident, Preliminary Report Prepared
Islamabad: Investigative agencies have prepared a **preliminary report** on the **suicide attack near Islamabad’s G-11 district courthouse**, revealing that the attacker was a **resident of Bajaur**.
According to the initial findings, the **bomber arrived in Islamabad on Friday** and rode a **motorcycle from Pirudhai to the G-11 courthouse**. Sources said the attacker was **wearing a covering sheet** at the time of the incident.
**Islamabad IG** stated that the blast involved **up to 8 kilograms of explosives and ball bearings**, and evidence so far indicates that **only one attacker** was involved. Authorities are also examining a **suspicious motorcycle and car** through CCTV backtracking, with **forensic, CTD, investigation, Safe City, and intelligence agencies** reviewing all collected evidence.
The attack, which occurred around **12:30 pm on Tuesday**, killed **12 people** and injured several others. Reports said the suicide bomber detonated the explosives near a **police vehicle**, causing fires in nearby cars, and parts of the attacker’s body were scattered inside the courthouse premises.
