Fazlur Rehman Departs for Bangladesh via Dubai, Announces Opposition to 27th Amendment

Islamabad: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has departed for Bangladesh via Dubai.
According to sources, he is visiting Bangladesh on the invitation of JUI Bangladesh to attend the *Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Conference*.

Before his departure, Maulana Fazlur Rehman announced his opposition to the 27th Constitutional Amendment, saying that the amendment is not in the country’s interest and undermines the spirit of democracy and the Constitution.

He added that the JUI-F will continue to raise its voice for the supremacy of the Constitution and the protection of public rights.
