Islamabad: Senator Faisal Vawda announced that the 27th Constitutional Amendment has been passed and urged preparations for the 28th Amendment.
Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Vawda praised the Prime Minister, saying, “The Prime Minister has done an excellent job. I truly appreciate him. He has taken a very positive step in line with democratic traditions.”
When asked about the proposed amendment regarding the renaming of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Vawda said, “Aimal Wali is my friend — whatever he says, we will do.”
Responding to another question about whether Maulana Fazlur Rehman would be convinced, he said, “Maulana is our elder; we learn politics from him.”
Vawda added that the current amendment has served its purpose and it’s time to move forward: “Now, this amendment has no more strength left; let’s prepare for the 28th. The 27th Constitutional Amendment is strengthening democracy and is essential for the country’s defense and stability.”
