*Islamabad (Daily Qudrat)* — Senior journalist **Matiullah Jan** shared an interesting and humorous account from the **joint session of the Senate and National Assembly’s Standing Committee**, held in connection with discussions on the **27th Constitutional Amendment**.
Taking to platform “X,” Matiullah Jan recounted a lighthearted exchange between **Attorney General Barrister Mansoor Usman Awan** and **PPP MNA Syed Naveed Qamar**.
According to Jan, during the meeting, both the Attorney General and Naveed Qamar **suddenly stepped out of the room**, prompting someone to jokingly ask whether a **decision had been made to grant lifelong immunity to the President of Pakistan**.
The Attorney General replied, “We haven’t reached that point yet.” When asked how long it would take to reach that stage, **Naveed Qamar quipped**, “Don’t worry, it’ll be decided today — it won’t take that long.”
Matiullah Jan added that another participant asked whether **provincial chief ministers** would also be granted lifelong immunity. The Attorney General denied it, after which someone humorously asked if the **CCD Punjab** would eventually be given immunity as well.
