Senator Danish Kumar Demands Highest Constitutional Posts for Minorities in 27th Constitutional Amendment

*Islamabad / Quetta (UNA)* — Senator **Danish Kumar** of the **Balochistan Awami Party** has called for provisions in the upcoming **27th Constitutional Amendment** that would allow **religious minorities** to hold the **highest constitutional offices**, including **President and Prime Minister of Pakistan**.

Speaking during a Senate session, he urged that the amendment include clauses enabling **minority senators to become Prime Minister** and granting the **Senate authority to approve the federal budget**.

Senator Kumar also expressed concern that, despite being a senator, he is often labeled as a minority, even though he regularly visits prominent religious sites such as **Data Darbar** and **Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai’s shrines**.

He emphasized the need for **effective measures to address the issues faced by minority communities** and called for legislative reforms to ensure their **full participation in Pakistan’s political and constitutional framework**.
