PIA Operations Disrupted: 9 Flights Cancelled, 18 Delayed Amid Engineers’ Dispute

**Islamabad (Qudrat News)** – National carrier **Pakistan International Airlines (PIA)** faced major disruptions today due to an ongoing dispute between the airline management and aircraft engineers. As of 5:00 PM, **9 flights were cancelled** and **18 flights delayed** across domestic and international routes.

According to engineers’ sources, the cancellations and delays were caused by technical faults and the unavailability of essential aircraft parts. International cancellations included flights from **Abu Dhabi to Peshawar**, **Dubai to Karachi**, and **Faisalabad to Dubai**, while domestic cancellations affected routes such as **Gilgit–Islamabad**, **Islamabad–Gilgit**, **Skardu–Islamabad**, and **Islamabad–Skardu**.

Notably, flight **PK-143 from Islamabad to Al Ain** departed nearly **10 hours late**. Overall, **18 PIA flights** experienced delays ranging from **3 to 10 hours**, highlighting growing operational challenges amid the ongoing standoff between management and engineers.
