Afghans Paying the Price for Protecting TTP, Borders Sealed as Pakistan and Taliban Near Full-Scale War: Jan Achakzai

**Quetta (Qudrat News)** – Former Balochistan Information Minister **Jan Achakzai** has warned that **Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban are heading toward a full-scale conflict**, with the Afghan people now paying the price for **sheltering the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)**.

In a statement on social media platform **X**, Achakzai said the **failure of the recent Istanbul talks** between Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban was “entirely predictable.” He noted that tensions have escalated sharply due to the **Taliban’s continued support for the TTP**, resulting in **border closures** and **heavy financial losses for traders**.

“The price of raw materials has surged, cross-border trade has collapsed, and the Afghan people are suffering because their leadership is protecting the TTP,” Achakzai wrote.

He cautioned that the **current standoff could lead to a complete breakdown in relations** between Pakistan and the Taliban regime. “This situation has brought both sides dangerously close to an all-out confrontation,” Achakzai warned.
