DG Passport Clarifies New Passport Design Amid Israel-Related Propaganda in Senate

Islamabad: The Director General of Passport provided clarification in a Senate Standing Committee on Interior meeting regarding the new passport design amid social media propaganda linking it to Israel.
During the session, DG Passport explained that only the passport’s design had been updated and security features strengthened. He emphasized that the passport clearly includes statements regarding Israel. Senators also praised the DG for addressing passport-related issues effectively.
The discussion followed claims by an Indian news channel suggesting that Pakistan had removed a clause from its passport indicating it was “not valid for Israel.” The government had already refuted these claims. The channel had also alleged that Pakistan was preparing to send 20,000 troops to Gaza, a claim denied by authorities.
