Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch Inaugurates New Building of Balochistan AcademyTurbat

**Quetta (Qudrat Daily)** — National Party President and Member of the Balochistan Assembly, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, inaugurated the newly constructed building of the **Balochistan Academy Turbat** by cutting the ceremonial ribbon. The event was hosted by the Academy’s General Secretary, Maqbool Nasir.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch announced that work is underway on a new scheme for the construction of a large hall for the academy. He shared that he has contributed **Rs 5 million** from his personal development funds to the **Balochi Music Promoters Society**, and a total of **Rs 30 million** to various institutions, including the **Sports Department** and the **Kech Thalassemia Care Center**.

In his address, **Dr. Ghafoor Shad**, Chairman of Balochistan Academy Turbat, stated that the new building was constructed with funds provided by Dr. Malik Baloch under his MPA development allocation. He said the new facility would serve as a milestone for promoting literary and research activities in the region.

Dr. Ghafoor Shad also expressed concern over the **95% cut** in the academy’s regular grant by the provincial government in 2024 and voiced hope that Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch would play an active role in restoring it.

The ceremony was attended by prominent writers, intellectuals, and political figures. At the conclusion, the academy presented its newly published research book *“Miras”* to Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch and other distinguished guests.
