Bushra Bibi Seeks Expedited Hearing for 190 Million Pound Case Suspension Appeal

Islamabad: Bushra Bibi, wife of PTI founder, has filed a request for an expedited hearing of her appeal seeking suspension of the sentence in the 190 million pound case.

The petition, submitted to the Islamabad High Court, stated that according to judicial policy, applications for bail and suspension of sentences are to be heard on a priority basis. However, the petitioner’s case has allegedly been unjustifiably delayed.

The petition argues that not scheduling Bushra Bibi’s case violates the Women Protection Act and Supreme Court rulings.

The request seeks an urgent hearing of the appeal for suspension of her sentence and names the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) as a party in the case.
