Terrorism Is a Red Line for Pakistan, No Compromise Will Be Made: Barrister Daniyal Chaudhry

Rawalpindi: Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Barrister Daniyal Chaudhry has said that terrorism is a “red line” for Pakistan and the country will make no compromise on its national security. He affirmed that any act of terrorism on Pakistani soil will be met with a strong and effective response.

Speaking to the media outside the Judicial Complex in Rawalpindi, Daniyal Chaudhry emphasized the vital role of the legal fraternity in promoting democratic values, upholding the rule of law, and ensuring justice. He noted that the upcoming Punjab Bar Council elections are of great significance, as their results will have a direct impact on the legal and judicial system of the country.

He said that in the recent Supreme Court Bar Association elections, the panel supported by the government emerged victorious — a reflection that the legal community supports stability, justice, and rule of law. He expressed confidence that the Punjab Bar Council elections will also bring forward candidates committed to judicial independence, rule of law, and peace.

On Pakistan’s foreign and security policy, Barrister Daniyal Chaudhry said that the government has held three rounds of detailed talks with Afghan authorities to discuss counter-terrorism measures and the promotion of peace. He reiterated that terrorism is a red line for Pakistan and any Indian-sponsored proxy actions or terrorist activities are unacceptable.

“Pakistan will never tolerate acts of terrorism on its soil and will respond decisively,” he stated. “India cannot bear Pakistan’s stability, but Pakistan will continue to progress and defeat its enemies’ designs.”

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the oppressed people of Palestine, particularly the children of Gaza, saying, “The government, the armed forces, and the people of Pakistan stand firmly with their Palestinian brothers and will continue their support.”

Discussing development initiatives in Rawalpindi, Daniyal Chaudhry said that the long-delayed *Kachehri Chowk* project has been restarted after years of delay. He added that new parking plazas and chambers for lawyers are also part of the development plans, along with the construction of a signal-free road to ease traffic congestion.

He highlighted that when the Pakistan Muslim League (N) took over, the country was facing severe crises, but under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan is now regaining economic stability and international credibility.

“Today, Pakistan is moving toward progress, peace, and stability,” he said, adding that Punjab remains at the forefront in governance and development compared to other provinces, particularly in health, education, and welfare projects.

Barrister Daniyal Chaudhry concluded by reaffirming that the PML-N remains committed to serving the people and, under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership, will continue to strengthen justice, progress, and the rule of law in Pakistan.
