PM Shehbaz Congratulates Sohaib Afridi on Becoming KP Chief Minister, Vows Joint Fight Against Terrorism
**CHITRAL:** Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated newly appointed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohaib Afridi, expressing confidence that both federal and provincial governments will work together to eliminate terrorism and restore lasting peace.
Speaking at the foundation-laying ceremony of a *Daanish School* in Chitral, the Prime Minister said, “I congratulate Chief Minister Sohaib Afridi and assure him of full cooperation. Together, we will make Pakistan stronger and defeat terrorism and unrest.”
Highlighting the sacrifices of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shehbaz Sharif said, “The brave people of KP have rendered great sacrifices for Pakistan. Chitral is a beautiful, peaceful, and patriotic region, and its people are highly cultured and resilient.”
He emphasized that providing quality education is a fundamental right of every citizen, saying, “The gift of the Daanish School is not a favor but a right of the people of Chitral.”
The Prime Minister reiterated his commitment to national unity and development, stating that Pakistan is blessed with abundant resources. “We must work together to make Pakistan great once again,” he added.
Recalling Pakistan’s military achievements, Shehbaz Sharif said, “India was defeated in just four days during the war. I salute Field Marshal Ayub Khan and the Pakistan Armed Forces for their bravery and dedication.”
