Pakistan to Present Terror Evidence at New Forum Under Peace Talks Framework: Information Minister Atta Tarar

Islamabad:Federal Information Minister **Atta Tarar** has said that the recent **Pakistan-Afghan Taliban negotiations** have created a **new platform** where Pakistan will be able to **present evidence of terrorist activities** originating from Afghan soil.
Speaking exclusively to **Geo News**, Atta Tarar confirmed that the dialogue process was **revived through the mediation of Qatar and Turkey**, emphasizing that both friendly nations “hold Pakistan in high regard and are committed to regional peace.”
He stated that the **Afghan Taliban have agreed to halt terrorist activities**, expressing hope that the ceasefire would mark the **end of cross-border terrorism**. Tarar further clarified that **any party violating the ceasefire** will face **punitive action under the new agreement**.
“The ceasefire also includes a commitment by the Afghan Taliban to take action against *Fitna Khawarij* (terrorist factions),” he said, adding that **Afghanistan must ensure its territory is not used against Pakistan**.
Regarding the **reopening of the Pakistan-Afghanistan border**, Atta Tarar said that a **final decision will be made later**, depending on the implementation and progress of the peace agreement.
