18 Militants Killed in Security Operations Across Balochistan: ISPR

Rawalpindi:Pakistan’s security forces have killed **18 militants** in two separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted across Balochistan on **October 28 and 29**, according to a statement issued by the **Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR)**.
The ISPR said the first operation was carried out in the **Chiltan area of Quetta**, where forces engaged a group of militants following intelligence reports of their presence. During the intense exchange of fire, **14 militants allegedly backed by India were killed**, and their hideout was effectively neutralized.
In another IBO conducted in **Balida, Kech district**, security personnel destroyed a terrorist hideout, killing **four militants** involved in multiple acts of terrorism. The forces also recovered a large cache of **weapons, ammunition, and explosive materials** from the site.
The military’s media wing stated that **clearance operations** are ongoing in the region to eliminate any remaining threats, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to eradicating **foreign-sponsored terrorism** under the ongoing counterterrorism campaign **“Azm-e-Istehkam.”**
ISPR reiterated that security forces, along with law enforcement agencies, remain resolute in their mission to ensure lasting peace and stability across the country.
