Israel Announces Return to Ceasefire After Airstrikes Kill 104 Palestinians in Gaza

**GAZA (Qudrat Daily / Reuters)** – Israel has announced that it will resume compliance with the ceasefire agreement after a day of intense airstrikes on Gaza that killed **104 Palestinians**, including **46 children and 20 women**.

According to a report by **Reuters**, the **Israeli military** stated that it would adhere to the ceasefire but warned that “any violation will be met with a strong response.”

Israel launched overnight air raids on Gaza, accusing **Hamas** of violating the truce and killing an Israeli soldier. The strikes targeted what Israel claimed were **Hamas commanders, weapons depots, and underground tunnels**.

The **Gaza Health Ministry** reported that dozens of residential areas were hit, leaving **hospitals overwhelmed** and many families buried under rubble. Footage from hospitals showed rows of women and children among the victims.

Hamas, however, **denied** carrying out any attacks in **Rafah**, saying it has been **fully complying with the ceasefire** that took effect on **October 10**.

The renewed escalation follows more than a year of devastating conflict that began on **October 7, 2023**, when Israel launched a large-scale military offensive on Gaza. Since then, **over 69,000 Palestinians have been killed**, while **hundreds of thousands** have been injured or displaced.

Israeli officials reiterated that while they would honor the truce, they reserve the right to respond to any aggression. Meanwhile, humanitarian agencies have warned that the situation in Gaza remains **catastrophic**, with massive destruction and severe shortages of food, medicine, and shelter.
