Hiring and Transfers Banned in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Until New Cabinet Formed

PESHAWAR:The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has imposed a **temporary ban on new recruitments, postings, and transfers** across all departments until the formation of a new provincial cabinet.

According to a notification issued by the **Chief Minister’s Secretariat**, instructions have been sent to the **Inspector General of Police**, **Chief Secretary**, and other senior officials to ensure strict compliance with the directive.

The circular states that only **emergency appointments or transfers** may be carried out with **the Chief Minister’s prior approval**. Ongoing recruitment and transfer processes have also been **temporarily suspended**.

Meanwhile, **Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohaib Afridi** marked **October 27** as the *darkest day in Kashmir’s history*, condemning the continued oppression of the Kashmiri people since 1947.

He said that **freedom is the legitimate right of the people of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir**, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering support for their struggle for self-determination.

Afridi urged **international human rights organizations** to take notice of **India’s state-sponsored atrocities** and called on the global community to play its role in ensuring the **Kashmiris’ right to self-determination**.
