Pakistani Players Cleared to Play in Big Bash League, Confirms Cricket Australia CEO

MELBOURNE:Chief Executive of Cricket Australia, **Todd Greenberg**, has confirmed that **Pakistani cricketers have been cleared to participate in the Big Bash League (BBL)**.
Speaking to media, Greenberg said that **Pakistan’s players were officially cleared last week**, and the board is “very excited” to have them join the tournament.
> “We’re thrilled because Pakistan has some world-class players in the BBL. We’re looking forward to watching them in action this season,” he added.
The update follows a recent decision by the **Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)**, which had initially **put a hold on issuing NOCs (No Objection Certificates)** for international leagues. However, players who already had valid NOCs were later granted permission to participate in the BBL after **discussions between PCB and Cricket Australia**.
Star players such as **Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Afridi, Hasan Ali, Haris Rauf, Shadab Khan, and Hassan Khan** are among those **signed with various BBL franchises** for the upcoming season.
