Pakistani Players Cleared to Participate in Big Bash League, Confirms Cricket Australia CEO

MELBOURNE:Chief Executive of Cricket Australia **Todd Greenberg** has confirmed that **Pakistani players have been granted permission** to participate in the upcoming **Big Bash League (BBL)** season.
Greenberg stated that the clearance for Pakistani players was finalized last week. *“We’re very excited because Pakistan has some outstanding players involved in the BBL, and we’re looking forward to seeing them in action this season,”* he said.
Earlier, the **Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)** had temporarily **withheld NOCs** (No-Objection Certificates) for national players wishing to play in foreign leagues. However, the board later **allowed players who already possessed valid NOCs** to participate in the BBL after discussions with Cricket Australia.
Among the Pakistani cricketers set to feature in various BBL teams are **Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Afridi, Hasan Ali, Haris Rauf, Shadab Khan,** and **Hasan Khan**.
Cricket Australia and PCB officials reportedly held positive talks to ensure the smooth participation of Pakistani stars in the league, which is scheduled to begin later this year.
