Fake Job Letters, Counterfeit Currency and Forged Documents Seized in Karachi; Suspect Arrested

KARACHI: Police have arrested a suspect in Karachi after recovering a large quantity of local and foreign currency, fake job appointment letters, counterfeit U.S. dollars, and various forgery materials.

According to the District City Police spokesperson, the Garden Police conducted a successful operation leading to the recovery of fake Pakistani and foreign currency, counterfeit PIA and ANF job appointment letters, forged cheques, fake property documents, black papers used for making counterfeit dollars, chemicals, and printing tools.

The arrested suspect, identified as Behzad, had been deceiving unsuspecting citizens by offering fake employment opportunities and issuing counterfeit joining orders. Police also found multiple metal molds used to cut paper in the exact size of real currency notes.

Investigations revealed that the suspect, along with his accomplices—who reportedly work as a medical representative and a call center employee—had been involved in forgery and fraud for the past four years. Large quantities of white paper cut to currency-note size were also recovered from his possession.

DIG South announced commendation certificates for the SHO Garden and the police team for their successful operation. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to apprehend the suspect’s accomplices.
