State Taking Decisive Action to Eliminate Terrorism from Balochistan: Field Marshal Asim Munir

Rawalpindi: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met with participants of the 17th National Workshop Balochistan at the General Headquarters (GHQ), where he discussed key issues related to the province’s development, public welfare, and security.

The Field Marshal described Balochistan as the “pride of Pakistan,” emphasizing that the province, with its talented, patriotic, and determined people, can play a vital role in the country’s overall progress.

He appreciated the ongoing efforts to improve Balochistan’s social and economic landscape through a people-centric approach and stressed the importance of utilizing the province’s vast economic potential for the welfare of its citizens.

Commending initiatives aimed at empowering civil society, particularly the youth, Field Marshal Asim Munir said that young people could play a crucial role in ensuring Balochistan’s sustainable development — provided they rise above personal or political interests and work for the collective prosperity of the province.

Expressing concern over negative propaganda spread by India-backed elements and other terrorist groups, the Chief of Army Staff reaffirmed that the state is carrying out comprehensive operations to cleanse Balochistan of such threats. He made it clear that while Pakistan seeks peace and stability in the region, any violation of its territorial integrity will be met with a decisive response.

The Field Marshal also underscored the importance of ensuring the safety and security of the people of Balochistan.

The workshop concluded with an open and informative question-and-answer session, during which participants engaged in detailed discussions with the Field Marshal on issues of development and security in the province.
