Actress Sharmeen Ali Opens Up About Post-Divorce Fears and Mental Struggles

Lahore: Pakistani television actress **Sharmeen Ali** has revealed the emotional and psychological challenges she has faced following her divorce, admitting that she continues to struggle with fear and anxiety.
Known for her performances in popular dramas such as *Mera Dard Na Janay Koi*, *Sang-e-Mar Mar*, *Aatish*, *Qismat*, *Pyar Ke Sadqay*, *Pardes*, and *Dil Banjara*, Sharmeen recently opened up about her personal life during a morning show appearance.
Speaking candidly, the actress described her divorce as the **most difficult phase of her life**, saying that although she has always been a strong-willed person, the separation left her feeling **insecure and fearful**.
She explained that the decision to part ways with her husband was made for the sake of her **mental well-being**, even though **no one in her family supported her choice**.
Following the divorce, Sharmeen said she developed a **deep fear of abandonment**, which now affects her personal relationships. *“I have a constant fear that someone close to me will leave,”* she admitted. *“Because of this, I often sacrifice my self-respect just to avoid losing people.”*
