Man Sentenced to Death Seven Times for Honor Killing of Seven Family Members in Peshawar

Peshawar: A sessions court in Peshawar has sentenced a man to **death seven times** after finding him guilty of **killing seven people in the name of honor**. The convict, **Muhammad Ibrahim**, was also fined **Rs 2.15 million** by the court.

The verdict was announced by **Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Jameel**, who ruled that the prosecution had successfully proven the charges through **witness testimonies and evidence**.

According to the prosecution, Muhammad Ibrahim, a resident of **Tangi in Charsadda**, stormed into a house on **Phandu Road, Peshawar**, in **June 2021** and opened fire, killing **his wife Bano**, their **three young sons — Saleem, Salman, and Jalal —**, his **cousin Habibullah**, **Habibullah’s wife Shakeela**, and their **daughter Sumayya**.

The tragic incident took place within the jurisdiction of **Chamakni Police Station**.

Earlier, Ibrahim had appealed his conviction in the **Peshawar High Court**, which sent the case back for retrial. After the retrial, the court once again found him guilty and reaffirmed the **seven death sentences** along with the **financial penalty**.

The case has drawn public attention as one of the most **gruesome honor killing incidents** in the region in recent years.
