Quetta: JI Balochistan Chief Condemns Murder of AC Ziarat and Son, Slams Govt, Security Failure

Quetta:Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Balochistan and MPA **Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch** has strongly condemned the **brutal killing of Assistant Commissioner (AC) Ziarat, Afzal Baqi, and his son**, calling it clear evidence of the **complete failure of the government and state institutions**.

He said that incidents of killings and disappearances in otherwise peaceful areas reflect a dangerous trend, while rulers and security institutions limit themselves to issuing condemnations, which is a **matter of grave concern**.

> “The killing of innocent people invites the wrath of Allah,” he said, adding that the **Balochistan government has made life miserable** for people by closing the border. According to him, thousands of families are suffering from hunger and poverty due to the border shutdown.

Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman announced that he will stage a **strong protest in the provincial assembly session** over these issues, demanding that the government immediately **reopen the border** and provide relief to the people.

He further said that the **abduction and recovery of dead bodies of innocent civilians from peaceful areas like Ziarat** is part of a “nefarious conspiracy” to destroy peace, which must be exposed. He accused the government and institutions of failing to protect people’s lives and property.

The JI leader demanded that the government take urgent notice of this tragic incident, form a **high-level inquiry committee**, and bring the facts before the public. He also extended **condolences and solidarity** to the bereaved families, assuring them that Jamaat-e-Islami stands with them in this hour of grief.
