Asia Cup T20 2025: Pakistan Captain Salman Ali Agha Admits Team Fell Short Against India

Dubai:After Pakistan’s second defeat against India in the **Asia Cup T20 2025 Super Four stage**, captain **Salman Ali Agha** admitted his team was short of runs and failed to deliver a complete performance.

Pakistan batted first after India opted to field and posted **171/5 in 20 overs**. India comfortably chased down the **172-run target** in the 19th over, losing just 4 wickets.

Speaking after the match, Salman Ali Agha said:
*”We didn’t play a perfect game today. Indian batters dominated the powerplay, and that’s where they snatched the match from us. The way we were batting, we could have added another 15 to 20 runs, which might have made the difference.”*

He, however, praised his bowlers, adding: *”Haris Rauf and Faheem Ashraf bowled well, but overall we fell short as a team.”*

With this loss, Pakistan’s chances of reaching the final now rest on winning both their remaining matches against **Sri Lanka (Sept 23)** and **Bangladesh (Sept 25)**.
