Sindh Begins Issuing Driving Licenses to Persons with Disabilities

KARACHI: The Sindh government has initiated the process of issuing driving licenses to persons with disabilities, following directives from Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah.

During an inaugural ceremony yesterday, the Chief Minister instructed authorities to take immediate steps to facilitate disabled individuals in obtaining driving licenses.

In this regard, the NOWPDP team visited the office of DIG Driving License Younus Chandio in Clifton, where they met DSP Driving License Faheem and other officials. The meeting focused on procedures for issuing licenses, and it was decided that training sessions and retrofitted rickshaws would be provided to assist persons with disabilities.

DIG Younus Chandio assured that the Chief Minister’s directives would be fully implemented and maximum ease would be ensured in the licensing process for disabled applicants.
