After Asia Cup Clash, Social Media Flooded with Jokes on India’s Rafale Jets

Dubai: Following the sixth match of the Asia Cup T20 2025 between Pakistan and India, social media once again buzzed with chatter about Pakistan’s downing of Indian Rafale fighter jets earlier this year.

Despite Pakistan’s defeat in the high-voltage encounter, Pakistani fans took to social media with witty remarks, reminding Indians of the May 7 incident when Pakistan Air Force shot down six Indian aircraft, including three Rafales. The loss had dealt a major blow to India’s air force reputation globally.

One user commented, *“The Indian team didn’t shake hands with Pakistan after the match because they’re still angry about the Rafales being shot down.”* Another quipped, *“We may have lost the match, but always remember Rafale is only a good jet if used properly.”*

Some users shared memes of the Indian captain catching the ball, captioning it as *“Brother, he’s catching a Rafale.”* Others joked, *“Not shaking hands with Pakistani players won’t bring your Rafales back.”*

Popular TV host Waqar Zaka also chimed in, saying, *“No need to worry about losing a cricket match — our job isn’t cricket, our job is downing Rafales.”*
