Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza Remanded in Custody for 7 Days in Blasphemy Case

RAWALPINDI: A local court has granted a seven-day physical remand of Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza in a case related to alleged blasphemy against revered religious figures.
According to *Express News*, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) presented Mirza under strict security before Senior Civil Judge Waqar Hussain Gondal at the Rawalpindi Kutchery (court complex).
The court approved the FIA’s request for a physical remand and directed the investigation team to complete their interrogation and produce the accused again on **September 19**.
Following the court’s order, the FIA team took Engineer Mirza into custody and departed for further investigation.
Mirza, a controversial religious speaker and commentator, has been facing backlash over statements deemed offensive by various religious groups.
