Saudi Arabia Directs All Mosques to Hold ‘Salat al-Khusuf’ During Lunar Eclipse

RIYADH:The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs has instructed all mosque administrations across the Kingdom to organize **Salat al-Khusuf (Eclipse Prayer)** during the lunar eclipse.

Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Sheikh urged Muslims to engage in **remembrance of Allah and seek forgiveness**, following the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ during the celestial event.

According to the ministry, **Salat al-Khusuf will be held at Masjid al-Haram in Makkah on Sunday at 9 PM**, led by **Sheikh Badr Al-Turki**.

The lunar eclipse will begin at **6:28 PM (Makkah local time)**, with the **total eclipse ending at 9:45 PM**.
