Gold Prices Skyrocket to Record Highs in Global and Local Markets

KARACHI: Gold prices surged further in both international and domestic markets, reaching new record highs.

In the international bullion market, the price of gold rose by \$12 per ounce, climbing to a historic level of **\$3,552 per ounce**.

Following the global trend, local gold markets also recorded sharp increases. The price of 24-karat gold rose by **Rs1,200 per tola**, reaching an all-time high of **Rs377,900 per tola**. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold jumped by **Rs1,029**, hitting a record **Rs323,988**.

Traders and market analysts attributed the rise to the surge in international gold rates, which directly influenced local prices.
