Rupee Strengthens Further as Dollar Declines

KARACHI: On the first business day of the week, the Pakistani rupee gained more strength against the US dollar in both the interbank and open markets. According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the dollar slipped by 2 paisas in the interbank market, closing at Rs281.75 from the previous Rs281.77.
In the open market, the US dollar also weakened by 3 paisas, reaching Rs283.57. Meanwhile, the euro rose by Rs1.19 to settle at Rs332.55, while the British pound gained 42 paisas, closing at Rs383.42. The UAE dirham remained unchanged at Rs77.20, and the Saudi riyal stood steady at Rs75.50.
